- I need some help with connecting a CDROM drive to my Amiga. I've
- never actually connected an external SCSI device so... I need
- to make sure I know what I'm doing :)
-
- I have:
-
- An A2000 with Internal Supra WordSync SCSI Hard-Drive.
- An NEC CDR-36 External CD-ROM drive.
-
- The Supra WordSync manual describes the external port as a DB-25
- SCSI port... and states that it follows the Macintosh format
- (On the 25-pin connector, pins 7,9,14,16,18, and 24 connect to
- ground.. on the 50-pin connector, all odd pins except 25 connect
- to ground).
-
- So, I'm assuming I need a DB-25 to Centronics 50 cable to connect the
- drive? Anyone else have a CD-ROM drive attached to a WordSync? Perhaps
- you could give some suggestions?
-
- Any help would be appreciated!
